OCS is the lead office that administers the AFI program, home to the AFI Program Manager and staff. OCS' role includes managing grant competitions, awarding grants, developing program policy, providing guidance and interpretation of program topics and issues, monitoring grantee progress, and otherwise ensuring that grantees succeed with their IDA projects. OCS created and manages the AFI Resource Center, which provides AFI grantees and their partners high-quality training and assistance to manage their IDA projects. The center sponsors many events throughout the year, including training academies, webinars, and conference calls.
