United Way of Greater Lafayette and Tippecanoe County

United Way of Greater Lafayette and Tippecanoe County is a human services organization that has provided one AFI grant since 2008, with the objectives of increasing the amount of savings participants use to purchase assets, the number of savers who withdraw funds from their IDAs for home or education purchases, and the ratio of the amount of earned income saved by participants in their IDAs to the cost of the services they receive that are supported with AFI funds.

The United Way emphasizes homeownership and postsecondary education, with goals of strengthening working families and increasing financial security and independence. This grantee has been successful in drawing down funds and program management.

Partners for the organization include the city of Lafayette, Downtown Lafayette Weed and Seed program, two VITA programs, Purdue University, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, and Ivy Tech Community College, all providing program support.
