United Way and Community Foundation of Northwest Iowa

Highlights of this grantee include integrating the program with the other social service offerings at the agency, including free income tax preparation, financial education and budgeting, credit repair and debt reduction, access to employer and public benefits, parenting skills, job skills training, nutrition and healthy living education, family crisis management, access to reliable transportation, access to affordable health care, Home First Rental Stability Program, and Asset Maintenance Loan Program, which offers 0% interest loans to qualifying homeowners for home repairs and emergencies.

United Way and Community Foundation of Northwest Iowa partners with Northwoods Living, Financial Stability, Partnership, Athletes for Education & Success, Bank of America, Catholic Social, Services, Children & Families of Iowa, city of Fort Dodge, Community and Family Resources, Community Health Center, Iowa Department of Human Services, Domestic/Sexual Assault Outreach Center, Fort Dodge Community Schools, First American Bank, First Federal Savings Bank, Fort Dodge Housing Agency, Habitat for Humanity, Iowa Central Community College, Iowa Legal Aid, Webster County, Iowa State University Extension, Linking Families and Communities, Mid Iowa Regional Housing Authority, NCI Small Business Center, North Central Home Care, Northwest Federal Savings Bank, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Salvation Army, United Bank of Iowa, Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Webster County Disaster Response, Wells Fargo Bank Workforce Development, YOUR Head Start, and YWCA to provide financial, educational, homeownership, and business counseling and referrals.
