TAP is a nonprofit that has provided three AFI grants since 2002, with the objective of reducing poverty and empowering individuals and families to increase their economic independence.
TAP emphasizes homeownership, postsecondary education, and business capitalization, with the goal of supporting IDAs as a means for asset building for low-income individuals and families in the Roanoke community. This grantee has been successful in providing financial education and opening IDAs. TAP is a Network grantee with 16 subgrantees.

TAP partners with Blue Ridge Housing Development Corporation, Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Consumer Credit Counseling Services, Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley, local social services departments, TAP Business Seed Program, TAP Fatherhood and Families, and TAP Project Discovery to provide supportive services, tax preparation, and financial education.
