Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc.

Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that has provided one AFI grant since 2006, with the objective of creating assets for low-income workers, improving their living conditions, creating a sense of stability for workers and their families, increasing individuals’ commitments to their employers, and improving overall job retention.

Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc. emphasizes homeownership, with the goal of increasing homeownership rates among individuals and families with limited means, financial knowledge and skills, and number of individuals with savings accounts and relationships with financial institutions; and improving stability of families in rural communities and employee retention for Oklahoma businesses. This grantee has been successful in partnering with employers that serve as a recruitment base for participants, increasing the grants capacity; and targeting different segments of the population, such as helping interested home buyers increase their credit scores.
