Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. of Great Falls

Neighborhood Housing Services is a nonprofit organization that has provided two AFI grants since 2006, with the objective of creating homeownership opportunities for hard-working families.

The organization emphasizes homeownership, with the goals of establishing savings patterns and promoting the importance of savings mobilization among IDA participants, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency and preparing them for homeownership opportunities, and increasing homeownership rates in the Weed and Seed sites. The program has been successful in opening IDAs and making home purchases.

The organization partners with Consumer Credit Counseling Services, Inc. to provide financial education, recruitment, and credit repair counseling, and the Montana Homeownership Network to provide marketing assistance and homeownership counseling.
