Montana Credit Unions for Community Development is a certified Community Development Financial Institution that has provided six AFI grants since 2006, with the objective to foster financial independence for all Montanans.
Montana Credit Unions for Community Development is a Network grantee with nine subgrantees. The organization emphasizes homeownership, postsecondary education, and business capitalization, with the goal of making these assets more accessible to low-income families in Montana and establishing a pattern of regular savings for IDA participants. The group has been successful in drawing down Federal funds, opening IDAs, and expanding one of its projects to statewide.
