Beyond Housing is a nonprofit organization that has provided one AFI grant since 2008 with the objective of helping low income families establish economic independence and revitalizing St. Louis neighborhoods.
Beyond Housing emphasizes homeownership, post secondary education, and business capitalization with the goal of building on the substantial progress Beyond Housing has already made in strengthening the Pagedale community by providing the means for residents to build and maintain financial assets and achieve their savings goals. This grantee has been successful in earning public recognition for its unique approach to helping low-income families establish economic independence and revitalizing St. Louis neighborhoods.
Partners
Beyond Housing partners include Pagedale Community Association, the City of Pagedale, National City Bank, Metropolitan Education and Training Center, Gateway Earned Income Tax Credit Community Coalition, and Professor Sherraden at the Washington University School of Social Development and provide supportive services, financial education, tax preparation services, job placement services, and advisory services.
